Today you go from zero to a real website live on the internet. For real. Follow along.
The goal: By the end of this lesson you'll have a webpage you can text to your friends with a real link. This is the moment it becomes real. 🔥
💚 Don't stress — from Mentor Ria: You're not doing this alone. Building it is exactly what we'll do together in our next tutoring session — I'll be right beside you. For now, read through and get hyped. You've got this. 🙌
🏎️ Let's build YOUR thing, Kymani. Those car designs you make and screenshot? We're turning them into Kymani's Garage — a slick portfolio site that shows off your designs and lets people commission you or buy your wallpaper packs. Your screenshots stop being "just a game" and become a real brand. 🔥
🏁 Your ready-to-paste Garage prompt
Build me a complete car-design portfolio website as a single HTML file called "Kymani's Garage." It shows off custom car designs I make. Include a bold hero title, a short intro, and a gallery grid of design cards (each with a name, a style tag like JDM/Supercar/Muscle, and a short description). Add filter buttons by style, and a "Commission a design" button. Start it with 3 example designs I can replace with my real screenshots. Use a dark background with neon teal, purple and pink — modern and gamer-styled — and make it work on phones.
Just paste it into Claude and watch your Garage appear. 👀 Want to see the finished vibe first? Open kymani-garage.html — that's where you're headed.
What a website actually is
A website is just a file written in HTML (the structure) — like a digital poster. The AI writes the HTML for you. You don't have to. Here's a tiny example so you recognize it:
<h1>Kymani's Garage</h1>
<p>Custom car designs & liveries.</p>
<button>Commission a design</button>
See how it kind of reads like English? That's all a webpage is under the hood.
Your build — step by step
1
Open Claude or ChatGPT. Free version is fine.
2
Paste your Garage prompt (the one up top — just hit Copy). No need to type it out.
3
Copy the code it gives you (the whole HTML block).
4
Save it as a file. Open Notepad, paste, and save as index.html. Double-click it — it opens in your browser! That's YOUR Garage.
5
Add your real designs. This is the fun part. Tell the AI: "Replace the example cars with my design called [name], style [JDM/Supercar/…], with this description." Drop in your best screenshots. Also: "Add my Instagram @handle" and "Make the commission button open my DMs." Repeat until it's fire. 🔥
6
Deploy it (go LIVE). Go to netlify.com/drop — literally drag your file onto the page and it gives you a real link to share. Free. Takes 30 seconds. 🎉
